AI agents for business

An AI business agent is software that does a job inside a business rather than answering questions about it. A WenBuidl business runs five: Sales, Marketing, Ops, Support and Finance. Each one works from the business own records, each has a limit set by the owner, and most of them draft rather than act.

Most tools that call themselves agents are chat windows. They answer, and then a person does the work anyway.

The useful question is not whether software can talk about your business. It is what it is allowed to do, what it does without asking, and what it has to bring to you first.

Five agents, one business

Each has a job, a set of records it reads, and a limit you set.

Support

Drafts the answers your customers ask for, from your services, prices and lean map. You approve them, and approving is a click rather than an afternoon of typing.

Ops

Watches for the things that quietly go wrong. A deal nobody has touched in a fortnight, an invoice past its date, a customer gone quiet. Each becomes a task you can work or dismiss.

Sales

Finds the leads that have gone quiet and writes the follow-up each one needs. The drafts wait in a queue. Nothing sends without you.

Marketing

Proposes the content the business should put out and the angle each piece should take. It never publishes, because a public statement in your name is not a thing to do unattended.

Finance

Raises and sends invoices inside the guardrails you set, and closes them when the money lands. Stablecoin invoices settle themselves.

Buidlr

The agent you talk to. It builds the business in the first place: the blueprint, the services, the prices, the page, and then runs the day to day through the same tools you use.

Draft, or do

Every agent runs in one of two modes, set per business by the owner.

In draft mode an agent proposes and waits. In auto mode it acts inside its guardrails and tells you afterwards. There is also a cap on how much any agent may raise in a single run, so a bad prompt or a runaway detector cannot bury you in a hundred tasks.

Those are the only two modes, deliberately. Four levels of autonomy sound more careful and mean less, because nothing in the product behaves differently at level two than at level three. Two modes describe a real difference: did something happen, or is something waiting for you.

Why Ops does not use a model

Ops finds problems by comparing dates, not by asking a model what looks wrong. That is a deliberate choice and it is worth knowing about, because it changes what you can do when you disagree.

This deal has not moved in 21 days is something you can check, and argue with, and set a different number for. The model thought it looked stale is not. It would also come and go between runs for no reason you could see.

What an agent is not allowed to do

Sales writes follow-ups and cannot send them. Marketing writes posts and cannot publish them. Finance can send an invoice on its own only if you switch that on, and it is off until you do.

These are not gaps waiting to be filled. Approval is most of the safety for a small fraction of the work, because what matters is that a person agreed to the words, not that a person produced them.

Frequently asked questions

Start with one agent, not five

Create the business, turn on the one that solves the thing costing you most, and leave the rest in draft until you trust them.
